Oh, Yes I CAN Blame Bernie For The Toxicity Of His Movement and Withhold My Vote

Oh hai. Lately there have been a slew of think pieces about Bernie Sanders being the front-runner, discussing how his movement has threatened to withhold their votes from Democrats if Bernie isn’t the nominee. Hidden between the lines is the idea that Democrats, in general, owe their votes to Sanders if he is the nominee, regardless of the fact that his voters do NOT owe Dems their votes if he is not. So, rather than call them out for using the same tactics that lost the 2016 election, there is a faction in the media that is growing more and more permissive to the idea that Bernie and his Revolution are somehow the victims in all this, and that mainstream Dems have done them wrong time and time again when picking a candidate that appeals to the Dems masses.

Let me let you in on a little secret.

I don’t owe Bernie Sanders or his fucked off revolution of stanerific emo-marxist cyber-terrorists a goddamn bit of shit the fuck all. When these utter fucking geniuses in the media reflect on how energized and dedicated his enthusiastic fans are when engaging in their harassment of the average Dem, they seem to think the people who have been abused don’t fucking matter. These Dems are people who have never done anything whatsoever to deserve the constant bullying, cyber-stalking, targeting, threats, or in my case, being falsely reported to the FBI by fans of Bernie who seek to silence dissent. What these media personalities don’t understand is that the abuse by Bernie fans, in his name, actually causes the gap between MAGA and Berners to shrink to the point where it is non-existent. There is no real difference between the abuse from either side, and since Sanders isn’t the warm and fuzzy type that reaches out to the people who have been abused, often there appears to be no real difference between Sanders and Trump.

Slate:

Still, the Bernie-or-Busters, small as they may be, have spun their position into an argument for why others should vote for Bernie Sanders too, regardless of the platform they prefer. As efforts in political persuasion go, this contingent puts forward an openly hostile argument. Sanders is the only electable candidate, they suggest, not just because of his policies, but because of the single-mindedness of his followers. The reason you should vote for Sanders is that we won’t vote for anyone else. You don’t want Trump to win again, do you?

No. But I also don’t want Bernie Sanders to win. In a case of one not liking either candidate, people look to see which movement they feel most comfortable with, Bernie’s or Trump’s. If it turns out that both movements engage in racist behavior, sexism, and homophobia, it really doesn’t matter what they profess to be in favor of as far as policy is concerned, what matters is how they treat their fellow citizens by and large. We all know that unless we take back the Senate with a large majority that can defeat Republican attempts to stop legislation from hitting Sanders’ desk, nothing will pass anyway. So, if you’re not in favor of Bernie’s policies in the first place, and do not like him or his movement, why would you be enthusiastic about showing up for the guy who leads the movement that engages in attacks on you?

Yes, it sounds like ugly hostage taking—not a brilliant persuasive strategy but a crude ego-boosting exercise for a group of leftists who can’t resist the impulse to lord some power over an electorate that doesn’t normally consider them relevant. But that’s exactly what makes it so normal, even understandable, in a depressing “we’re all human” sort of way. [NO.] Because the truth is this: Every threat these Sanders stans are explicitly making is one the venerated Centrist Swing Voter makes implicitly—and isn’t judged for. The centrist never even has to articulate his threat.

Excuse me, it IS ugly hostage taking, it is NOT normal, and no, it doesn’t make me see them as more human.

Another thing is this: not everyone opposed to Bernie Sanders is a Centrist, Moderate, or a Swing voter. Many of us are as far left or to the left of Sanders, I for one am definately to his left, and had supported him in 2015. That was until his racist abusive Bern Mafia targeted me for expressing concern about his lack of outreach to black voters. I noticed his lack of history in hiring black people (D.C. is Chocolate City, we could not find one black staffer in 2015; I am open to correction on this point; if he had black staffers prior to 2015, please send me receipts because I have been looking for them.), lamented and mocked his poor showing at Netroots, fumed over his constant MLK appropriation, jeered at his white ass crowds, and felt humiliated by his inability to discuss black people in ways that were not centered on Poverty or Prisons. It is HIS FAULT that his voters have no clue how to engage Black people without resorting to stereotypes and outright bigotry, because he does the same thing.

Buzzfeed:

Sanders, seated across the table, a yellow legal pad at hand, responded with a question of his own, according to two people present: “Aren’t most of the people who sell the drugs African American?” The candidate, whose aides froze in the moment, was quickly rebuffed: The answer, the activists told him, was no. Even confronted with figures and data to the contrary, Sanders appeared to have still struggled to grasp that he had made an error, the two people present said.

No. He did not apologize for spreading this stereotype, and yes, it shows how he views black people in general.

Slate:

One of many disorienting factors in this election cycle is the fact that the left is more popular and more viable than it has been in a long, long time. They have not one but two exciting candidates, and both are offering policies closer to what leftists actually want than most presidential contenders in U.S. history have.

I wanted the party to move to the Left towards the direction of where I stood too. I can’t really name my ideology because it’s so far left I am almost hitting the wall. Additionally, I am more Libertarian than Sanders, who trends more authoritarian. Yet, I instinctively know that playing a game of “my way or the highway” won’t lead to a place where poverty programs are expanded up and out, ensuring all necessities of life are provided. It will lead to gridlock and we will make zero progress.

Because folks at the center tend to be wooed by multiple candidates, they’re used to having options, and they’re used to the experience of their vote determining who ends up with the nomination. This means that they usually like the candidate they vote for, in the primary and in the general. Not so for leftists, who get to merely tolerate the candidates they end up having to vote for in order to mitigate the damage from a worse result.

Here’s the rub… I’m Black. None of this shit applies to me, because as a Black person, I rarely even LIKE or TRUST any of the candidates I have been voting for over the years. I also usually, especially in State and Locally, don’t have any say so in determining the nominee of any race. I am always stuck voting for whoever White People choose as the candidate, and as such, am merely tolerating whoever is chosen to prevent a worse outcome, which usually means preventing a racist shitmonger from winning a race.

Speaking of race… Progressives refuse to address race as a factor in anything; they like to ignore race in everything they do and allow Prison Policy to stand in for Racial Policy, so it’s impossible to get them to see my reality. They get this shit from Bernie.

From Buzzfeed:

“The real issue is not whether you’re black or white, whether you’re a woman or a man,” he said in a 1988 interview. “The real issue is whose side are you on? Are you on the side of workers and poor people or are you on the side of big money and the corporations?”

Not much has changed with Bernie, as you know, Bernie never changes, because he was born as a 72 year old yelly man, just like Benjamin Button, but louder and not as cute.

“It’s not good enough for someone to say, ‘I’m a woman! Vote for me!’” No, that’s not good enough. What we need is a woman who has the guts to stand up to Wall Street, to the insurance companies, to the drug companies, to the fossil fuel industry,” the Vermont independent senator and former Democratic presidential candidate said in a not-so-subtle rebuke to Hillary Clinton”

Bernie’s attacks on Identity Politics filtered down to his base, causing them to feel confident in their attacks on Blacks, LGBTQ, and Women who brought up issues of race, sexuality, and gender over the past few years. They love to say shit to black people online that they would never say to an actual Black person IN PERSON, because they are scared as fuck of Black people. Kinda like Bernie. The refrain of “that’s identity politics, not real policy’ rang out constantly on social media the past few years to the point where pointing out racism, homophobia, and sexism was met with swarms of white men attacking Black people, All Women Who Dared To Be THAT Bitch, LGBTQ, and really, anyone worried about social justice issues that focused on identity. The attacks were and ARE bigoted in the extreme.

This is racist as fuck and is one of the ways the Bernie Titty-Babies managed to marginalize Kamala Harris and drive a wedge between her and Black Voters. Somehow they thought keeping it going would make us like dusty ass Bernie more, but they’re stupid, because we don’t even like that geriatric Bernadook now.

This is homophobic.

Bernie’s supporters are engaging in a hate campaign against Mayor Pete and are trying to convince the world that they are not being homophobic, they are just saying Pete is suppressing his dangerous serial killer nature by being so straight laced. This is fucked up because they are attacking a gay man for being “straight appearing” in spite of the fact that his seeming straightness is how he interacts with a world that hates gay people, and has at times (and Still Does) MURDERED men and women who are gay for not assimilating or conforming to hetero-normative stereotypes. Bernie ignores this behavior from his fans like he ignores all of their nasty hate campaigns. I blame him.

This is misogynistic. No explanation needed.

Racist and fat shaming. Black hair is not your fucking business, bitch. Back the fuck up.

This is just blatantly false and caused people to harass Kamala Harris supporters until they stopped using the Yellow Circles she asked supporters to wear, it stems from the misogynoir his fans engaged in towards Kamala. Bernie has never said shit, so I blame him.

Bigotry. Also erasure of Biden’s Black support in a effort to make it seem as if Bernie is the candidate of diversity. Bernie is at fault, he also erases minorities.

Sexist. Also, damn near all of his fans seem to hate Obama on the same level and with as much heat as MAGA. Why the fuck would we want to join in unity with this man when his fans HATE the first black President. Oh, you think Bernie has nothing to do with setting the tone?

“The business model, if you like, of the Democratic Party for the last 15 years or so has been a failure,” Sanders started, responding to a question about the young voters who supported his campaign. “People sometimes don’t see that because there was a charismatic individual named Barack Obama, who won the presidency in 2008 and 2012.

“He was obviously an extraordinary candidate, brilliant guy. But behind that reality, over the last 10 years, Democrats have lost about 1,000 seats in state legislatures all across this country.”

Bernie doesn’t fucking like Obama either.

Sexism. Racism. Bernie does the worst with Black Women, and is often dismissive when asked a question by one of us. So, his fans see nothing to lose by targeting us in particular, and we in turn are likely the largest group of people willing to sit this one out if Bernie manages to come out on top. The media is no help whatsoever to marginalized people, because they ultimately weave a narrative where Bernie comes out the victim.

We can already see it happening amongst the Children of the Bern, where they have taken to labeling K-Hive, a movement started by a Black Woman (Me) for a Black Woman (Kamala Harris), “Liberal ISIS” for our resistance to Bernie and willingness to defend the other candidates from the attacks levied by the Berner Swarm.

Oh, cry me a fucking river! We don’t dox, cyberstalk, harass, abuse, try to get people fired, engage in bigotry, we learn from our mistakes, and we never make it our mission to ruin someone’s life.

We simply turn the tables on the bros and ask tough questions, like Kamala Harris. If that breaks you down, you were already broken before you found us. Oh, yeah. That’s another thing. We don’t go looking for Berners to abuse; we wait until they come to abuse US and refuse to play along.

Regardless of what poor Peter Daou says, there is no “Unadulterated Hatred” in asking if someone has checked on him.

So, yes, I can blame Bernie for the nastiness of his movement and choose not to ever join it no matter what. Progressives love to play forever victims, even while they engage in their vile abuse, but I do not have to empower their movement or help them elect Bernie. Maybe if enough people sound the alarm and let him know we will not be helping him in November while suffering constantly at the hands of his Branch Bernidians, then he will have no choice but to be a leader and fucking lead these assholes into being decent people. I don’t expect the abuse to magically end if Bernie becomes President or loses to Trump, and I also don’t expect him to do shit about it, so I guess I’m just Never Bernie. What I am now stuck with is the same as always; White States get to vote first and create the narrative that Dem voters are in favor of whoever these powerful white voters choose, and I am sick of it and sick of Sanders. I didn’t become a Democrat to not only be marginalized by the White Moderate, but to also suffer abuse from the punk ass White leftist bitchmade humdinger of a Revolution. I’m not here to empower shitfucks that search me out no matter where I am just to heap abuse on me, threaten me, or report me to the FBI as a possible MASS SHOOTER, all because I think Bernie is an old bigot who minimizes Black oppression to appease the white voters he thinks he’ll need to win the General.

I’m just Never Bernie, deal with it or die mad about it. I don’t care which.

“But, His Heart Attack!” Pro-Israel PAC Burns Bernie Right Before Iowa

Darby is NOT SURE Bernie is healthy enough to be President

Berners all over the web, especially on social media where they terrorize the common man or woman, have been simultaneously trying to pretend they aren’t bothered and also, losing their shit, over a ad due to hit the airwaves in Iowa today, less than a week before the Iowa Caucuses, and I am loling all over the place. The Ad, made by a group called Dem Majority for Israel PAC is just a regular Ad, nothing especially over the top in it, but it sure had the Sanders team in an uproar. The Ad is just 30 seconds, but it hits him on his health, his electability, and his socialism, smirks and walks away.

A pro-Israel Democratic super PAC is launching a new television ad on Wednesday in Iowa that questions Sen. Bernie Sanders’ electability and raises the specter of his health following a heart attack last fall.

Oh, really? Are y’all saying that heart attacks don’t turn people into Superman? Cause I have been told that Bernie is pretty much like Ironman, and the stents solved the problem completely and last forever, so Bernie pretty much just had to “walk it off” because they caught it before there was any problem. I am not a fucking Doctor. But I did ask a few Doctors that I know if this was true, and the answer I got was, “No.”

“I do have some concerns about Bernie Sanders’ health considering the fact that he did have a heart attack,” one of the Iowans featured in the ad says. Another suggests that, while he likes Sanders, voters in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Iowa are “not going to vote for a socialist.”
I said for weeks that Sanders looked ill, but his fans just attacked me and said I was wishing him dead. This was about two weeks before his heart attack during one of the debates. Dude looked tomato red, and sounded congested, so, I felt bad for him. And let’s face it, Obama went from looking young for his age to looking like a Silver Fox in 8 years while Michelle miraculously didn’t change one bit, so, the job DOES AGE PEOPLE. How much aging can Bernie take at this point? He’s not Benjamin Button, by any means, so, can we stop pretending the Presidency would have no effect on his health or are we just going to live in the delusion until this old man admits his age and health concern him too? Because, we might be able to survive Bernie’s death in office, but do we even want to take that risk? Who will be his Veep? Nina? Tulsi? Please kill me.
Sanders was hospitalized for more than two days after he suffered a heart attack in October while on the campaign trail. He had two stents inserted after doctors found an arterial blockage.

Tis just a scratch.

Sanders campaign co-chair Rep. Ro Khanna, a California Democrat, tweeted out a blistering response to the ad late Tuesday, saying the focus on Sanders’ health crossed a line.
“For a Democratic Super PAC to attack @BernieSanders health is beyond the pale of decency,” Khanna said. “Imagine the outrage if a Dem group had run attack ads about FDR’s polio. Every Presidential candidate must denounce this & call for the ad to be taken down.”
Um? How about “No.” Ro? Bernie is a dirty fighter and he should have saw this shit coming a mile away. I hope they do another one where they show Nina Turner wildin’ like a Baptist Minister on that wet* and let everyone know she could be in charge of EVERYTHING if Sanders pops off. Or even an ad about Tulsi Gabbard handing the keys to the country off to Assad, since people also see her as a likely VP candidate.  At the very least, maybe it would get Sanders to scratch those two clowns off the list of potentials. As far as Sanders’ health is concerned? He shouldn’t even be running for office with such obvious health issues, and quite frankly, FDR probably shouldn’t have mounted his last run, didn’t he die in office? THIS IS MY OPINION. Also? I cannot think of anyone Sanders could choose as VP that I wouldn’t want to impeach immediately.
“I think for many months now, the consensus has been that he really didn’t have much of a chance at winning the nomination,” Mellman said. “We looked at the situation a couple of weeks ago and decided that assumption was no longer valid — that he really does have a chance to win the nomination. And we thought that would be bad for Democrats, in terms of our ability to defeat Donald Trump, and bad for the issues that we care about.”

This has nothing to do with the groups stated purpose, which involves promoting US/Israel relations, and the fact that they are completely off script has some folks just a little bit unhappy. I mean, the Ad said absolutely NOTHING about Israel, that’s absolutely true, lol, and some are wondering what the purpose behind the ad is, and why they decided to do it now. Well, now you know. All that talk about the “Surge!” and how Bernie can win it has spawned a slew of anti Bernie pieces and his team just doesn’t know how to handle it. Bernie himself also has a problem taking criticism, so it’s going to be hilarious watching the attacks multiply while Ro Khanna and others sit around whining and bitching about how mean people are being.

Meghan McCain Wishes “Bernie Bros” Would F*ck Off Somewhere Along With Bernie Sanders

Meghan Bo Peep, aka Meghan McCain, is right about something again. This is a rare occurrence in the land of Conservatopia, where ladies buy ugly frocks made by Ivanka, and think Don Jr is just a “Dreamboat” like Moondoggie from Gidget or some shit. I wouldn’t normally discuss Megs, but the situation she is dealing with and pissed off about is actually something that I am also fucking sick of: Berners. Bernie Sanders has been running for President for approximately 105 years, so in that time he has managed to obtain quite a cult following. Some people are impressed with his ability to accumulate all the biggest assholes on the Left into a “Movement” that makes lots of noise. I am not stupid as they are, so I see it as more than a little problematic.

So does Megs.

 Meghan vs Berners

Yesterday, John McCain’s daughter was not one bit happy with the old Marxist Chupacabra, and she was not afraid to said so.

“He has a problem with women. He has for a long time, and I think if Elizabeth Warren has this in her back pocket, all is fair in politics, all is fair in love and war, and look, I don’t want another misogynist as president. Women in this country are sick of it, and I have always thought he has had a problem with women.”

This, of course, led to many many little meltdowns from Bros and Broettes around the nation, especially on Twitter where they have an outsized influence. Brie Brie Joy, who is one of the trolls Bernie hired to be a face of his campaign, could not stop herself from chiming in like an ass, and somehow had to bring feminism into it.

Sanders national press secretary Briahna Joy Gray called the segment “shameful” and said, “I’m a longtime watcher of @TheView, and respect its reach and influence a great deal. That’s why I want it to be accountable to the women whose interests it’s attacking… Whatever this segment is, it isn’t feminism.”

Okay, Ms. Gray, I don’t really understand what that has to do with anything, but I also don’t ever know what the fuck you’re talking about, so…you’re just being a goddamn clown again, obviously. I watched the segment, and you can see for yourself that the discussion was absolutely normal. Meghan discussed how vicious the Bernie supporters are to women in the media on both sides of the aisle, how Bernie’s behavior contributed to Trump winning the Whitehouse, how Hillary discussed the way Berners harassed her supporters, and Meghan’s belief that Bernie is just a fucking misogynist, and how her Twitter would probably be lit TF up just because she spoke out.

Nothing she said was a lie.

Then the debate happened. Oh my.

Bernie and Liz did not reach a mutual agreement over whether Bernie told her “a Woman cannot win” and let’s just say it was bad. I’m actually writing another separate piece on that later, so you’ll have to check it out. But, today on The View, Meghan was still coming for Bernie, and I guess she’s not scared of Brie Brie’s scoldings and the hordes of Berners in her mentions, cause she called that shit out too.

“She’s not shaking hands with him because she’s over it. Because all the Bernie bros got on Twitter and are sending her snake emojis and saying #WarrenIsASnake and it started trending. And that’s the misogynistic Bernie bros who came after me yesterday. I’m still saying it again. Stop doing this to women. And whether Bernie likes it or not, fact that she didn’t shake his hand, I’m sorry, that tells you everything you need to know about how she feels about that.”

Yeah. The snake emojis just remind me of some Biblical Adam and Eve bullshit, and yes, it’s sexist as fuck. Period. These fuckduds were sending those fucking emojis alllll day yesterday and really got wild and crazy during the debate. Last night after the debate, Queen Liz did not shake hands with King Bernie, and the whole world of Progressive politics was shook the fuck up. Personally, it was the first time in months I found something to like about Liz Warren. This whole “I’m with Bernie!” bullshit she had been carrying on while his sexist ass bros torched the other women candidates, just made her look shady as fuck. Now, Liz is the one at the center of the bro storm, and her supporters are looking for people to defend her, but a lot of Dems are not going for this shit. I’m just going to continue attacking Bernie’s shitty as record, stupid lies, and bad personality. Oh, and his plans to pass his legislation will be getting a share of my fire.

Meghan McCain seems to believe that the Berners are just as toxic as they were last time, and I can’t say she’s wrong. I highly doubt they’ll get behind the winner, if it’s not Bernie, no matter what. Even before this whole drama played out between Liz and Bernie, I pretty much knew the bros were going to do the Bernie or Bust thing again. This is why I am a Founding Member of Never Bernie. There ain’t no way in hell I’m going to empower the type of fuckdicks and assgasms that occupy the Progressive Left. These are the StrugglePunks who all caps “NEOLIB” at random working class Democrats of all races and persuasions. Bernie, for his part, is simply an asshole and doesn’t see anything wrong with how he operates. As long as his bros attacks benefit him in some way, he ain’t gonna say shit about it. And that is how you know Bernie doesn’t really give a shit about the people he is trying to change the system for, because anyone with empathy would feel terrible to have people running around abusing others in their name, and for them. But, not Bernie Sanders. Years of abuse and not once has he ever seriously tried to get his movement under control.

Bernie loves to hold the label of “Feminist” and wear it like a badge, and he gets pissy if someone tries to snatch his badge away. But would any Feminist allow women to be targeted and harassed and abused in their name? Wouldn’t they, knowing how much women already have to deal with, wouldn’t they tell their supporters to “STOP” at some point? Wouldn’t they show some type of concern that so many women in America despise their movement because of their supporters? I guess, Ill ask one more question:

If Bernie Sanders is such a great leader, why the fuck can’t he lead his own damn movement to not be so goddamn misogynist and toxic?

“She is not dead who may eternal rise; for in strange aeons even death may die.”

“That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die.” H.P. Lovecraft as Abdul Alhazred, The Mad Poet

The title took the longest time. I usually wait to write a title until I see what pours forth from my sometimey reservoir of fickle talents; it usually takes some time to find how far from the theme my prosaic meandering have led the narrative. Wow. That sounded like Mayo Pete. I was struck with boredom in the middle of that prolix sentence, so I wandered away on a google trip, searched for domain names, found an audiobook, and got stuck on Twitter. I even lost the theme I had in mind for this “farewell, but never goodbye” to Kamala Devi Harris and her Presidential campaign. I should have written it down. It is now 5 days later.

Kamala suspended her campaign a while ago, and just like the Betos before us, the shock and dismay has been palpable, and the grief feels heavy and deep. I had hinted my suspicions that this may come to pass in the last post I wrote, but many of us were taken by surprise, knocked off balance, perhaps even in denial.

We didn’t think it would come so soon.

This piece will not have a theme. I suppose it doesn’t even need one. It certainly will not be an autopsy on all the media perceived flaws of her campaign, a think piece on the historicity of her impossible candidacy, or grave lamentations on the unfair treatment she received from nearly every player in the politics game. I wanted to talk about where we go from here, what will Kamala do, what about the K-Hive who have become so close?

Will we scatter like a pack of skittles on the steps? Do we shut it down and join Liz so we can have a woman, any woman, even if it’s not the woman we came for, or even one we like? Should we attach ourselves to another campaign and become something stupid like K-Hive4Pete? K-Hive for Liz? K-Hive for BERNIE?? Gods forbid. K-Hive lives on, we refused to go away.

Let me tell you, tho, the other campaigns are desperate for us to come their way, oh they are trying it so hard. They want everything of Kamala’s, they don’t just want it, they NEED it, and that’s simply too fucking bad. We are not a top down movement where I tell people what to do, everyone is free to move to any campaign…besides BERNIE’S. If you go there, do not come back to visit, we hate you now, traitor. Lol, just kidding, we don’t hate you. But, still. Don’t come back.

It has been rough without Kamala. I looked around last week and witnessed my mentions filling up with the most dreaded of social cyber villains this side of Ukraine: The Berners. All I could do was recall that the totality of what I had wanted at the end of 2016 was for the Bernie Bros (as they were called then) to go the entire fuck away, just shut up for a little while, and also to leave ME the complete, whole, entire fuck alone. Did that happen?

Hell no. So, why should WE go away? We shouldn’t and we won’t.

As Berners invited me to join Bernie by insulting me, threatening my friends, trashing Kamala, attacking Hillary, calling Obama a war criminal, and shitting on the Democratic Party, I was making my own plans. I had no intention of doing anything other than what my plan B consisted of, obviously. Plan B: Move to Biden and harass him into making Kamala his VP, of course. I mean, people seem to find us just as annoying as Bernie Bros now, so why not use our annoyingness for an actual result, unlike those dorks? I need someone close by Biden to speak for my group and our interests. Biden is a nice guy; but he is also a guy who may not be on the cutting edge, and probably doesn’t really know what black women my age need. That was diplomatic as fuck how I said it, be quiet.

At some point someone mentioned that Kamala may HAVE HER OWN PLANS. What? WHY? Well, fine then, make your own choices, if you want to, see if I care. I just want her to have the option, and for her to be asked first, but honestly she doesn’t have to run for anything else; she’s already done the work.

Regardless, as a patriot, Kamala will have to understand that our need to have our interests represented is great, and that we need her to do the representing. We have love for Kamala, it’s been a long time since we have had a genuinely joyful person run for President. And I am not talking about the Stupid Joy of men like GWB; he was filled with the joy of myopic ignorance, like a child who cannot see the drowned bodies washing ashore from Katrina as he delights in the “heck of a job” his underling Brownie is failing at doing. More important than any love we may feel, is the trust we have in her ability to get the job done, and be accountable for the mishaps, mistakes, and missed opportunities. We trust her.

Trust. It is weird for me to use the word trust, because it took me a few years to trust Obama, who unfortunately is a MAN, and it was even longer until I felt comfortable saying that. I always loved Michelle; it was always HER I trusted to make sure he didn’t fuck everything up. This means I won’t feel comfortable unless there is someone there making sure Biden doesn’t fuck everything up too. Please consider the VP position, we can always flatter-coax-yell Biden into thinking that was always his only plan. Just joking! (No I’m not.)

This campaign was a flight for the ages. We strapped on our wings and took to the sky this Summer. Sadly, we flew too close to the heat of the sun, melting our wings. We flew on desperately, as only we knew how, on those misshapen appendages, just to plummet from the sky as those very wings that carried us aloft hardened, and sank us in the cool autumn breeze. And so we fell. And yes, it does hurt, we are tired, and it would be easier to stay down here than it would be to do anything else. Yet…It’s time to get up. We have work to do.

We don’t have time to mope about and lament the unfairness of it all, and quite frankly, if we look back we may become lost in the bitter winds of remembrance. Crying solves nothing, we don’t have time to feel sorry for ourselves, we are Black Women; so we shall rise.

Still I Rise

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise.
Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
’Cause I walk like I’ve got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.
Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I’ll rise.
Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops,
Weakened by my soulful cries?
Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don’t you take it awful hard
’Cause I laugh like I’ve got gold mines
Diggin’ in my own backyard.
You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I’ll rise.
Does my sexiness upset you?
Does it come as a surprise
That I dance like I’ve got diamonds
At the meeting of my thighs?
Out of the huts of history’s shame
I rise
Up from a past that’s rooted in pain
I rise
I’m a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that’s wondrously clear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise
I rise
I rise.

“What is dead may never die, but rises again harder and stronger.” –GRRM

Every loss in life is a type of death. Plans die, hopes die, dreams die, and so to shall we, one day, die. But for now, we are alive, so we must fight on and live, it’s time to get back to work, like Kamala. We may have the opportunity to resurrect her campaign, perhaps as a running mate to Biden, or maybe the 2024 cycle, or even 2028. Next time we will be prepared for the abuse, we will have cash on hand, we will have debunked every smear possible, and we will win.

We will rise again, harder and stronger.

Here is Kamala back at work being BOSS AF, showing the nation exactly why so many of us placed our faith in her abilities.

Kamala is fine, she is tough, she is fierce, and so are we. This is not the end, my dears, we have only just begun. Be brave.

Do not go gentle into that good night
By Dylan Thomas

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

I just want to say that I appreciate each and every one of you, you have been my backbone this year through an amazing amount of bullshit, and I wouldn’t have kept my sanity without you all.

Be Fierce, ALWAYS.

I rise
I rise
I rise.
