Here Are The Top 10 Most Racist Things About The Bernie Sanders 2020 Clown Show (Off The Top Of My Head), Also, “F*ck Context”
First of all…
Please shut the fuck up about context and Bernie Sanders. I don’t see any of his people worried about the context of what anyone else is saying, so spare me the cris de coeur about how Bernie’s just a innocent victim of the Establishment Centrist Receipts Squad, aka American ISIS, aka The K-Hive, and just get used to how your own medicine tastes. I spent half the day yesterday sick, and the other half fascinated with how deeply racist and delusional Berners get when faced with the prospect that Bernie may have said a bad thing. And let me tell you, honey, these people seem willing to excuse ANYTHING, brush anything off, and even go full Klan-lite if it helps Bernie in any way.
Sooo…. Let’s just do a re-cap from my memory, through the fog of illness and weed smoke, of the Top Ten Most Racist or Just Generally Fucked Up Things About Bernie Sanders’ Movement.
#1 Bernie’s Dixiecrats
Every single time Bernie’s Dixiecrat side rears it’s ugly head we find hordes of white dudes in our mentions just a wailing and a crying about how we aren’t being fair to Bernie, because of “Context.” And every single time we look at the issue in “context” we find that Bernie’s cantankerous old self was being peculiarly bigoted, sympathetic to racists, or the dog-whistles scream so hard I’m sure deafness in the canine world will hit epidemic proportions soon.
He literally means the Spectrum of Racism, right? Because, I haven’t heard anything about Joe Rogan being a right-winger himself, and I even mostly manage to not call him a racist himself, but instead point out the racism in what he said. I have my reasons. People have been getting so stuck on basic shit when it comes to Joe Rogan and racism, oh the fainting couches are probably still filled with MMA loving tough guys who punch bears in the throat and eat them with their bare hands screaming beseechingly, “WHY DID YOU CALL JOE ROGAN, MY BEST GOOD FRENN, RACISSST? HE HAS BLACK FRENNSS!!” So, if you call that man a racist, instead of focusing on why what he said was racist, you will spend HOURS explaining basic shit to dudes who just want you to shut up and talk, hurry up and slow down, and stand your ground and take it back RIGHT NOW! It’s literally why I changed my notification settings so they I won’t even know they’re crying next time.
#2 Joe Rogan’s Super Stans
Here’s the deal: Bernie received an endorsement from Joe Rogan, and we soon found out that Mr. Rogan likes to say n*gger an awful lot. This is no big surprise, we found Bernie has used such language is his own writing, yet it was disturbing to hear Rogan’s nonchalant racism, and more upsetting, that he also compares blacks to Planet of the Apes. I’ve been told time and time again that Rogan has Black friends and they have no problem with his “jokes” so I am too Politically Correct. I am also told that my sensibilities are the downfall of the Democratic Party and that rejecting the idea of allowing my own dehumanization into the “Big Tent” I am ensuring an epic loss, and letting the “Real Racists” of the GOP win. Go figure. In the Age of Bernie, Black people are the ones with the problem if we don’t like being equated to sentient simians.
Go read that shit.
So, what does the Joe Bro defense Squad have to say?
This is such reductionist nonsense. Like it or not, Rogan is somewhat representative of the average "Joe" in this country, & canceling them for a few problematic views isn't helpful.
— FlyoverCountryPeasant (@NEffcntFrontier) January 24, 2020
Oh, they got black bros, don’t trip…
You should be ashamed of discouraging this man. Over a black joke, only if you knew exactly what he stands for. Only if you knew the black people he supports from Kevin hart, to dawnell Rawlings, to Dave Chappelle, to dr cornel west, to Neil degrades Tyson, people he respects
— Martian 🧠..! (@MartianMf) January 24, 2020
Discouraging? What the fuck do these bot-trolls even be talking about?
Hes a comedian lmfao go look up george Carlin skits and that guy is beloved because we understand hes a comedian lmao
— Formerly Uninformed Leftist Heatle 🏀🔥 (@brandongmz7) January 24, 2020
1. He’s not on Carlin’s level.
2. I hated when he said n*gger in his act as a kid when I watched old stand-up.
3. That shit was not even funny.
And here is your permanent get out of jail free card if you are a White Man wanting to say some super racist shit:
— B.A.F.F. (@badassfartfuck) January 24, 2020
So, thanks Bernie, this is literally the new normal. Talk about Black people in any dehumanizing way you please, just remember to say, “I’m just joking!” Wanna make the Black people at work super uncomfortable and harm their mental health and job performance? Hell, just find all of Joe Rogan’s most racist hits and play them on a loop, it’s fine now, or will be as soon as Bernie becomes President.
#3 Joe Rogan Is A Piece of Shit, Beyond The Racism Words, Because I Said So. This Is My OPINION.
I live in Alaska. These assholes decided to argue with me all night about bears, like the kind that dump out our trash cans every spring and live in the park, as if my being Black precluded me from knowing a goddamn thing about bears. I found that to be racist.
I saw my first bear up close when I was 11 years old. In 1992, after the Rodney King riots, we moved to Alaska to join my step-dad, who was once again speaking to us, whether I liked it or not. That was the same year Chris McCandless went out to go live with the bears in the Great Alaskan wilderness, and died out there grubbing for berries; he was skinny and desperately hungry. My step-sister was a Park Ranger, and my step-dad drove the city bus, so we got to spend the first Summer in Alaska eating fucking couscous, hiking 10 miles in a day, fucking around in the goddamn National Forest, hiking on Matanuska Glacier when it was still majestic and bright, taking the boats out to Portage Glacier, fucking fishing, learning how to make goddamn water with a sheet of plastic, some pans, and some twine, plant and tree identification so we could eat if we got lost, how to start a fire with an actual flint rock, something metal, and some cotton balls in Vaseline, why we all need to carry tabs to clean the beautiful blue glacier water before we drink it, what the fuck a crevasse is and why not to fall in, ICE WORMS, and why we should make a A LOT of noise so bears know we’re coming.
I prayed. Please God, NO BEARS.
We saw SEVERAL BEARS AND THEN SOME. The first one was a few feet from me, and I was crying so I didn’t see it until it was a few feet away. Fattest fucking bear I had ever imagined, I cried more, and ran off. Then I cried. Then we saw 3 bears, a mom and cubs, but they were not close, and we were loud so she snatched up her babies and left. Saw some in the river. Saw a couple on the way back. I was still crying. My mom has photos somewhere; I cried from the second we got out of the car until the second I got home a few days later. All I remember are the bears, and that I hate couscous with cheese and salsa. Bears are legit. As long as you don’t fuck with them, they don’t fuck with you.
I’m like that.
I told you this story because I needed you to understand why Joe Rogan is a piece of shit. Look at him standing over that bear like a fucking asshole, so proud of himself for being the smarter animal and killing such a majestic beast. This is much worse for me than if he called me Planet of the Apes to my face; it just feels so disrespectful and ignorant, and I’m a sentimental fucking person so, fuck you if you don’t get it. I don’t think posing with dead animals like trophies is a decent or humane thing to do. That shit should be banned. If you’re going to eat it, eat it, don’t play with your food, you creepy lower 48 asshole.
#4 Bernie Praised George Wallace on his “Sensitivity” in 1972 BEFORE he was Shot and “Changed His Racist Ways”, and His Explanation Was Stupid & Did Not Address The Quote In Question
"Segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever."
— Washington Examiner (@dcexaminer) January 30, 2020
To defend himself, Sanders pointed to another article where he said very bad things about Wallace, yet he does not address the substance statement in question about the sensitive nature of George Wallace.
Now that I have you all up to date, let me just address his defense, and call his old ass out.
“Politicians put people to sleep,” Sanders said before offering praise for Wallace. “(Wallace) advocates some outrageous approaches to our problems but at least he is sensitive to what people feel they need.”
“At least he is sensitive to what people feel they need..” What the fuck might that be, Bernie? What was Wallace selling that people felt they needed back in early 1972? Just admit you were playing up to racist ass white people in Vermont back in the 70’s, don’t sit up here and try to bullshit people and pretend that this is a consistent Civil Rights viewpoint.
#5 Bernie Can Always Find Something to Admire About Straight Up Racist Bigots
In interviews with Wallace supporters, Sanders said he found “a certain feeling of admiration and respect for” their anger at the political system but feared that, with Wallace’s influence growing, their collective rage posed an existential threat to civil rights and American pluralism
So, Bernie feared his effect on multiculturalism because of their collective rage, yet somehow he admired and respected that very collective rage at the political system? And why were the supporters of George Wallace angry? Because the Government forced integration on them and they did not want Black People to have full Civil Rights? Sanders often findS things to admire when it comes to the most deplorable of people, and if not admire, at the very least he finds ways to excuse the racism portion.
On the politically charged topic of desegregation busing, Sanders expressed concerns about the program’s unintended consequences.
Uh oh… This was all said at a time when Bernie was trying to find his political footing in largely White Vermont, so in context, it looks like an attempt to play both sides; on the one hand he can oppose busing, like many did, and on the other he can say it is concern for Black people that causes him to hold this position.
#6 Bernie Sanders Opposed Busing, Yet His Supporters Attack Joe For Opposing It & He Thinks It Makes People Racist
We finally found one thing that Bernie thinks causes racism that’s not directly related to economics, and that is…Integration Busing! One of the solutions for racism is actually the cause of more racism because white people are inconvenienced. Which basically means that Black People are the cause of racism, just like when we were poor kids hanging out on street corners.
The Middlebury College campus newspaper reported in 1974 that Sanders believed busing — “(doing) bad in the guise of good things,” as he put it — risked creating racial hostility where none previously existed.
“The government,” he said, “doesn’t give a sh** about black people.”
Nor do you, Senator. It’s quite amazing how Bernie has the ability to find causes for racism that have absolutely nothing to do with white people being racist.
#7 Bernie Thinks Black Equals Poor, So His Solution For Race Relations Is to Get Poor Kids Jobs So They’re Not Hanging On Street Corners (causing racism?)
Oh, look! Another thing Bernie thinks causes racism, Black and Poor people! Which he thinks are the same thing! Because he’s s an actual Bigot, y’all.
And yet, in Democrats’ debate Thursday, “Wall Street” made it into the first sentence of Sanders’s answer about what he’d do for race relations that President Obama hasn’t.“Yes,” he said unequivocally when asked for a second time whether he really thinks race relations would improve under him. The reason why he’s so confident, you probably won’t be surprised to hear, lies in taxing billionaires…”
“to create millions of jobs for low-income kids so that they’re not hanging out on street corners.”
Bernie Sanders Is a Fucking Clown.
#8 Bernie Said It Wasn’t Necessarily Racist to Not Want To Vote For Black Candidates and His Explanation About It Later Was STUPID
“You know there are a lot of white folks out there who are not necessarily racist who felt uncomfortable for the first time in their lives about whether or not they wanted to vote for an African-American.”
“There’s no question that in Georgia and in Florida racism has reared its ugly head. And you have candidates who ran against Gillum and ran against Stacey Abrams who were racist and were doing everything they could to try to play whites against blacks,” he said. “And that is an outrage, and we have got to continue doing everything that we can to fight all forms of racism.”
#9 Bernie Said Vermont’s White Workers Are Just Like Black Slaves Because Business Owners Can Sell Their Businesses
Next we found out that back in the 70’s Bernie Sanders believed, and maybe still believes, the batshit clownish MALARKEY that being a White Vermonter was the same thing as being a Black Slave. This is an attitude that completely minimizes the devastating impact being held in captivity had on Black people, ignores the horror involved in the historical “Triangle Trade” human trafficking the US engaged in, dismisses the fact that Black Slavery was done in an inter-generational and brutal manner, and erases the fact that there is lingering and ongoing harm that still affects Black Americans to this day.
In one 1976 conversation, Sanders told a local newspaper that the sale of a privately held mining company by its founders harkened back to “the days of slavery, when black people were sold to different owners without their consent,” and compared the service economy to chattel slavery.
Fuck you, you stupid bastard. How the fuck is that in any way the same? Black Slaves would have LOVED the freedom to own themselves, in fact, many spent YEARS saving up to buy themselves, then their wives, and hopefully a child or two, if born to the mother while she was still a slave.
“Basically, today, Vermont workers remain slaves in many, many ways,” Sanders said in another interview in 1977, in which he compared the burgeoning service industry in the nearly all-white state to the enslavement of black Americans at the nation’s founding. “The problem comes when we end up with an entire state of people trained to wait on other people.”
NO THEY DO NOT “REMAIN SLAVES,” BERNIE! THAT IS NOT WHAT SLAVERY MEANS, STOOPID!
It wasn’t the fact that the owners could sell their Plantations to whomever they pleased that was problematic. It wasn’t even being in service as domestic and agricultural workers that caused us untold grief. It was the fact that they, the Slave-masters, owned US ourselves that we could not abide without rancor, misery, and grief. Slavery isn’t simply an economic institution where people are tied to their jobs, like serfs to their patch of land. Slavery is being owned yourself and subject to untold abuses, with absolutely no rights whatsoever. Shut the fuck up, Bernie.
#10 Bernie Sanders Called Black People N*ggers In His Book And Won’t Admit That It Was A Bad Choice to Leave it in Back When He Reprinted It In 2015, So Now Leftist Racists Feel Emboldened
“For a hundred years, the white workers of the South were the most exploited white workers in America. They were paid the lowest wages, they endured the worst working conditions, their housing was abysmal, their kids went to the most backward schools, and very few could send their children to college. But what did they have? They were given ‘niggers’ to hate and look down on, ‘niggers’ who couldn’t vote, drink at their water fountains, use the same bathrooms, or sit up front in the buses or movie theaters.”
I already addressed it here:
I despise this word with every cell in my body, my hate for it can never die.
One word; it has a mere six letters, yet contained within that label is the destruction of an entire race of humans. This is how our society has been able to “other” us, dismiss us, abuse us, oppress us, and discard us when we are no longer useful. Over the centuries of us being called N*ggers, various attempts were made by us to find a way to ease the heavy burden this label carries with it. We have tried to be respectable, so as to fly under the radar, just to perhaps not be seen as “one of the bad ones.” We have tried to reclaim it and wear it with humor and pride, as Richard Pryor attempted through his comedy, and many rappers have done through their music. Many times, we have called each other that detestable word for various reasons. One being, to desensitize each other lest we be called that in public, lose our minds on some unsuspecting white racist, and end up in prison. We have also used it to show affection, kinship, and even to show racial solidarity.
I mean this.
Do women need men to call us wh*res, b*tches, and c*nts (for our own good) as they White Knight in our names, and challenge misogyny?
Is it wise, necessary, or even appropriate to call Jews “k*kes” to illustrate how their oppression manifested?
Are we calling Gay men “f*gg*ts” to help them fight the barriers they face in a hetero-normative world?
Of course not. We would never use the attacks, labels, or slurs of the oppressor in order to defend the oppressed.
Senator Sanders doesn’t need to call us N*ggers to make his points. He chose to. Many do not.
My opposition to the use of this particular slur is the same opposition James Baldwin had over 50 years ago. We are not N*ggers, we have never BEEN anything other than men and women, We are not literary devices, we are not pawns, or objects to be used to prove a point. There are no subhuman beasts among us. We remain human until the next time a White Man wants to be edgy in his critique of racism. We remain human until we encounter someone who continues the tradition of stripping us down to the point of dehumanization, robbing us of our human identity, and reducing us to that despised word.
The fact of the matter is, bernie used the word to excuse the racism of the white working class that he’s so goddamn obsessed with.
And that’s why when he loses the nomination, I am going to laugh and celebrate.
You cultists are the actual worst people.
— Imani Gandy (@AngryBlackLady) September 9, 2019
Let’s hear it from The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.:
If it may be said of the slavery era that the white man took the world and gave the Negro Jesus, then it may be said of the Reconstruction era that the southern aristocracy took the world and gave the poor white man Jim Crow. He gave him Jim Crow. And when his wrinkled stomach cried out for the food that his empty pockets could not provide, he ate Jim Crow, a psychological bird that told him that no matter how bad off he was, at least he was a white man, better than the black man. And he ate Jim Crow. And when his undernourished children cried out for the necessities that his low wages could not provide, he showed them the Jim Crow signs on the buses and in the stores, on the streets and in the public buildings. And his children, too, learned to feed upon Jim Crow, their last outpost of psychological oblivion.
Imagine that. Brother Martin said it many years before Bernie Sanders, yet he did not find it necessary to draw from the same deplorable vocabulary reservoir as actual racists when searching out a word to use to describe Black People. Nor, either, did he find it necessary to infantalize the poor white racist and make it seem as if he, the poor white racist, had no choice whatsoever than to gratefully accept Jim Crow in place of a better life for himself and his family. Without the poor white racist gladly feasting upon the empty carcasses of Segregation and White Supremacy, how long could it have possibly lasted? How long would they have stayed there starving without a strong belief in the superiority of their Whiteness and the ability to Lord it over us?
Whiteness is a hell of a drug.
James Baldwin via Los Angeles Times:
“What white people have to do is try and find out in their own hearts why it was necessary to have a n*gger in the first place, because I’m not a nigger,” he said. “I’m a man, but if you think I’m a nigger, it means you need it… If I’m not a n*gger and you invented him — you, the white people, invented him — then you’ve got to find out why. And the future of the country depends on that, whether or not it’s able to ask that question.”
